Filling
in a simple Blank Template
The next few screen shots
will show examples of using
the "fill" pattern just
saved on the previous
page
as a background in a
"Template"
For filling in a template
fast, I usually bring over the image
from my 4Templates folder
I created on my Deluxe Browser
and choosing the "magic
wand" tool, I select area, and then
from Edit menu, I choose
the fill pattern. Then
I use the same method
as noted above for the Jiffy Cover circles -
for adding graphics to
the template images.
Please Note:
These are just examples
of "How I Do It", for fast easy filling in of
simple blank template
images !
I brought full image
of this particular template which included a tag template
and a insert template
for a note, and I didn't hold down
shift key to make it
transparent, so that I could define
the fill areas using
the magic wand easier.
The next screen shows
an image I brought from browser
and I did hold down shift
key to make it transparent, I resized it,
and then using the "Move
Tool", I moved it to place on
template image that was
already filled in.
The next template is of
a Bookmark, and for this one
I did hold down shift
key to make it transparent.
For templates themselves
you can choose to bring into
workspace, as non transparent
images. But any graphics
that you want to add,
should be brought over using the
shift key to make them
transparent and easy to overlay
the background.
**this works well for images that don't have
alot
of white in them*
For images that have
alot of white in them, such as
snow, or snowmen,
or floral images, etc., it is best to learn
how to remove just
the "white surrounding" the image
"itself", and then
resizing it, and then moving it over
to layer on background.
If too much white is removed
yo can use "fill paint
bucket" to fill in the image with
white, prior to moving
to layer on template graphic.

There may also be times
when you want the image to have the white in
such as bringing in
a frame graphic with a white center,
I normally would bring
a frame over as transparent, and then
using fill tool with
paint bucket I would fill center of frame with
white or color of
my choice.
The following is an
image I compiled with a background image
(a frame image)
which I did NOT want
the "white out", then added
an image that I had
to fill in the white petals with white
and then layered
that image and other graphics onto the background
.
this is image I had
to use fill bucket and click on
areas that I needed
to fill the white back in.
and then I added the
transparent cat and butterfly images
Here is another template
fill example, this is a jar tag
template, which when
printed full size, can hold 6 teabags.
I selected various outlined
areas of template with magic wand
tool and chose different
backgound patterns to fill each area
For this template I chose
individual areas with magic wand
and filled in with different
background patterns on lid
portion.
To add graphics I followed
previous steps,
I brought images over
as transparent from Hugbug Deluxe Browser
and resized them and
using move tool I placed on template
background.

See
also below tips/screen shots for Searching for images such
as backgrounds, frames,
etc. using the Flitterbug tool
in your Deluxe Hugbug
Browser
To search your installed
PCCrafter.com content that
is contained within Browser,
use search terms that may
help narrow or expand
your search. I noted when
viewing certain images
that background images may have
BGD identifying an image
in the beginning of the image name.
BDR is at the beginning
of many Border image file names,
and FR is at the beginning
of many Frame image file names.
But the search engine
of flitterbug also uses other names or
words for seeking out
images and identifying what it thinks
is close to what you
are looking for.
Searching for Backgrounds
using "BGD"
Using that term alone
search my own PCCrafter files
(Flitterbug does NOT
search files/graphics I have added
to the browser from other
sources)
My search results in 173
images found
If I search using the
term "backgrounds"
My results brings up
804 images - which also may include
frames, home helpers,
calendars, etc.
If I search FR for Frames
I find 1200 images
If I just use the search
term "frame", my results find
only 795 images.
As you can see in my own
search results, searching my own installed PCCrafter content, using different
terms or words can bring varied results - so it is best if you don't find
what you are looking for on first attempts
that you Try using different
terms and or plural or single terms such as:
valentine or
valentines
heart or hearts
mouse or mice
border or borders
corner or corners
romance or romantic
flower or flowers
rose or roses
child or children
